The kids are on spring break right now, making it hard to stay on my normal schedule. We also had a little mishap Easter Sunday. The Hare broke her middle finger, on her right hand, doing a back hand spring, a skill she is quite secure in most days. Unfortunately, it is going to cut her competitive season short, since we are only a week and a half away from the state competition and it will take a good four weeks for her finger to heal. There will also be a couple of weeks of physical therapy after that.
There are plenty of writing ideas swirling around in my head, but it has been more difficult to write them down, especially waiting in doctor’s offices, radiology labs, and consoling a broken-hearted gymnast.
