My Pajama Party
Parties aren’t much fun if you don’t know anyone and you feel like everything is an inside joke. Hopefully this will alleviate any anxiety.
Meet the Guests:
1. Pajama Mama – a.k.a Emily, Mommy, Writer, Musician, Coach, and sometimes called names I would rather not repeat. My favorite foods are pizza, salt-and-vinegar chips and Breyer’s Mint Chocolate Chip Ice-cream. I drink “grown-up” drinks, sing karaoke, love to watch Chopped on the Food Network with my kids, have an ongoing list of friends I think need to be discovered by Clean House or What Not To Wear, and might have a split personality…thus the reason some of the posts are more humorous than others.
2. Pajama Papa – a.k.a. DW, Big D, Daddy and “hey you!”. He is my rock and keeps it together even when I am falling apart. He is an engineer and has been to the planet of Rational Thinking; I hope to visit someday. He is a human jungle gym,the basketball champion of the neighborhood (although most of his opponents are still in 3rd grade), Saturday morning pancake maker, and the most selfless person alive. His favorite food is chips and salsa and he drinks Diet Coke like water. He has been the light of my life since June, 2001.
3. Pajama Drama – a.k.a The Tortoise, Sissy, Little One and Bug. What she lacks in organization, motivation and rational thought (she’s a teenager now) she more than makes up for in unconditional love, a desire to help others and creativity. She trusts everyone, doesn’t hold grudges and has an amazing ability to connect with special needs children. My sweet little bug plays travel soccer, swims and has an incredible voice. She has been making my heart sing since March, 1998.
4. Pajama Princess - a.k.a. The Hare, Princess, Monkey and Peanut. She only has two settings: on or off. Team Gymnastics takes up most of her time, but she also has a voracious appetite for books and learning. Her favorite game to play is School, but she always has to be the teacher. She makes friends easily but prefers to be home with her family. The Hare loves white rice with soy sauce, snuggling, building with Legos and craft projects. She tends to be very rigid with her schedule, food, clothes…ok…she’s OCD (Obsessive Compulsive) and has been driving us crazy since April, 2002.
5. Pajama Pal - a.k.a. Chelsea. She is our loving and faithful 13-year-old Golden Retriever who keeps me company all day. * On May 17, 2010 we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl. She will be missed greatly.
6. Pajama Puppy a.k.a. Luna or Baby Luna. She is a Maltese Shih Tzu puppy that joined our family on July 10th, 2010.

Not sure how I found your blog, but I’ve been enjoying the posts I’ve read through.
I work from home and often feel that the most productive days are ones where I don’t get out of my pyjamas!
(Ah, I’ve just seen that you were freshly pressed – must be where I found you! Congrats!)
Freshly Pressed sent me your way. I loved the featured article and so stayed around to read some more. And the more I read, the more your person and writing style resonated at my end. Glad I came this way. May your ink pot never dry.
You are very kind – thank you!
